thanks willo for your input. I am under the impression though that despite my best efforts (and the love that started growing after I got the Disco V8 ZF), the Hippo that I located and chose in Germany is a manual. Hope that is not much of a drawback...

yep they do. I used to own a Golf 2 and a 3, now it's a 4, but you cannot do much with it:rolleyes: :D :D :D (well offroad anyhow)
