If your diffs new diffs fit physically. Your torque converter will spend more time out off lockup. That will result in more heat in your atf fluid so a slight decrease in atf fluid lifetime. Then higher cylinder pressures. It will take x amount...

All done. Bought some M5 x 25mm bolts from Wickes this morning and it went in first time. Bracket lines up properly and all. Shame it was a 50 pack - anybody need 49 spare bolts? 😆 Pressure tested to 15 psi for about 10 mins, and no leaks...

@RRMaximus you have alot of perseverance. You keep on bleating that you want to lower your RPM but if not fuel economy then why? If its for engine longevity you do realise that a lower RPM but higher throttle request cause higher cylinder...

Weight makes a big difference to economy. You’d save fuel by not being so full of ****

+1 on the loctite The screw does tend to work itself abit looser during the first few heat cycles.

If they have crusty crap on them it's because they've been leaking 👍

No. If lpg isn't exactly right (hard to do on a modern log system on an old efi car) you can end up with very hot combustion temps. Brave that it's your only wheels. Been there done that

No need to link the internal pipes. Use compressed air to blow the coolant out of the heater matrix.

Think it took me about 3 hours to replace the o-rings by using come creative cutting and a lot of swearing. Still a pig of a job but not the worst.

No need to remove the dash. A long screwdriver and one duct to cut, easy peesy. as long as the screw is not corroded in. Use a S/S socket head screw when putting it back and a smear of silicone grease on the O rings.

err . . actually three causes. 1. Its either that the valve is actually stuck closed. 2. Or its a faulty height sensor & ECU confuses the reason 3. Or intermittent connection in the driver pack connector, i.e. if the driver pack cannot trigger...

FEI replied to the thread EAS rear suspension dropping.
The valve stuck closed fault can be two possible faults. Its either that the valve is actually stuck closed. Or its a faulty height sensor. If the EAS controller reads a certain height that is too low and its tries to pump up the coresponding...

The bottom of the throttle body where the coolant runs through is held on by 3 tiny bolts, if the seiling surface is not perfect or if these bolts get over thightened or if the gasket gets old it will leak. Clean it properly, flatten and clean...

my plan is to use the P38 axels with brakes and suspension. then i will have to find out if i will use the RRC compressor and suspension ECU or if the L320 can do that better I am not sure if the master cylinder and ABS setup from the P38 is...

Youll have to stick with the Borg warner transferecase because of the left hand drop propshafts. The LT230 is right hand drop. If you going to take P38 axels use the P38 air suspension too, the P38 air suspension is set up for solid axels while...

Yeah i think the TDV8 had the 8HP. This is what i would do B57 engine along with its 8HP transmission out of a G05 BMW X5 and all its electronics that go with it, mainly the ECU. Design an adaptor plate to fit the borg warner transfercase to the...

Have a look at the ZF8HP transmissions. They are a decent step up from the 6HP. Im in the planning phase of changing my P38s 4HP to an 8HP a really cool part about this is the 4HP has a 2.7:1 1st gear the 8HP ive gotten has a 5.5:1 1st. So crawl...

Tornado is trying to sell their stuff so of course they are going to say its worth it. It just makes way more sense to do the cam and ecu at the same time. Its not a national secret but the knowledge is guarded by a huge amount of man hours to...

As far as i know its only tornado thats able to "tune" the bosch ECU's. Without doing the cam its virtually pointless to tune the ecu. But these engines are good ones to learn on, they still quiet simple and there is a huge amount of resources...
