I had to replace mine but couldn't get the blank key part cut, the places I tried only wanted to supply their own keys at a silly price. Ended up taking the genuine key part out and gluing it into a new case.

Same here, the outer side of the Dayco was quite smooth and gave no grip on one of the pulleys even though it was brand new, Put a genuine one on which had a noticeably more grippy outside and immediate cure.

Not really modified. Have put HD front prop with grease points on the joints on and Ashcroft extended transfer box sump. Serviced just before we went with genuine LR bits with special attention to the brake calipers to make sure they were free and moving nicely and never do short trips, always...

Nope, got it right and double checked as I was surprised. Traffic was light so it was just a case of sitting there at a steady speed with the engine sounding and feeling better and better as the miles clocked up. 2,500 mile round trip in 36C at one point and the oil and coolant levels stayed...

On holiday when I filled up after 400+ miles at a steady 70mph using cruise control (no stops apart from the French peage tolls) I got 36mpg from my TD5 auto which was quite unexpected but it still cost a lot to fill up. €214 at one point and it was no where near empty...

Or some black tape over them?

Same here. 2,500 mile round trip to Tuscany followed by a 500 mile round trip to Dundee. Only attention was checking tyre pressures, filling with diesel and topping up the screenwash. They do make excellent tourers!

After a good servicing and a wash and wax we took ours for a drive.1,250miles running like a dream even in the 36C weather we reached the villa we booked in Lucca, Tuscany.

Would light guards make them harder to nick? Downside is the wing needs drilling..

Belgium seems to be the place for oversize ones for that extra lift.

Can leave the prop on but you will need to lift the front up so the suspension is as extended as far as possible to give enough wiggle room to pull the sump out. Just make sure it's safe.

It's under the valeo Body Control Unit screen on the nanocom if that's any help.

JGS4x4 heavy duty front prop. I certainly wouldn't try drilling and tapping one, I know my limits!
