    Disco 2 Remote fob.

I had to replace mine but couldn't get the blank key part cut, the places I tried only wanted to supply their own keys at a silly price. Ended up taking the genuine key part out and gluing it into a new case.

Disco 2 A guessing game. UPDATE

Same here, the outer side of the Dayco was quite smooth and gave no grip on one of the pulleys even though it was brand new, Put a genuine one on which had a noticeably more grippy outside and immediate cure.

Disco 2 Just another fuel economy thread...

Not really modified. Have put HD front prop with grease points on the joints on and Ashcroft extended transfer box sump. Serviced just before we went with genuine LR bits with special attention to the brake calipers to make sure they were free and moving nicely and never do short trips, always...

Disco 2 Just another fuel economy thread...

Nope, got it right and double checked as I was surprised. Traffic was light so it was just a case of sitting there at a steady speed with the engine sounding and feeling better and better as the miles clocked up. 2,500 mile round trip in 36C at one point and the oil and coolant levels stayed...

Disco 2 Just another fuel economy thread...

On holiday when I filled up after 400+ miles at a steady 70mph using cruise control (no stops apart from the French peage tolls) I got 36mpg from my TD5 auto which was quite unexpected but it still cost a lot to fill up. €214 at one point and it was no where near empty...

Disco 2 Discovery 2 TD5 Air intake hose

From this it looks like it's only available as a complete lower section assembly. https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/parts/index/part/id/L5.L5I.L5I02.L5I02005/brand/land-rover/ Maybe find a good used one?

    Disco 2 Removing D2 Crossmembers

When I dropped the front one so I could drop the sump I wire brushed the bolts and kept squirting penetrating oil over them and the exposed threads. Before attacking them I pointed a heat gun at the captive nuts for about 10-15 mins. Half of them came off using sealey wall drive sockets, the...

Or some black tape over them?

    been on holiday

Same here. 2,500 mile round trip to Tuscany followed by a 500 mile round trip to Dundee. Only attention was checking tyre pressures, filling with diesel and topping up the screenwash. They do make excellent tourers!

    D2 Facelift Headlights stolen too.

Would light guards make them harder to nick? Downside is the wing needs drilling..

    Disco 2 airbag shortage?

Belgium seems to be the place for oversize ones for that extra lift. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10611101/Katie-Price-shows-24th-boob-job-sports-bra-works-Carl-Woods-Thailand.html

    Disco 2 Sump removal question

Can leave the prop on but you will need to lift the front up so the suspension is as extended as far as possible to give enough wiggle room to pull the sump out. Just make sure it's safe.

Disco 2 Disco 2 Immobilised EKA Code

It's under the valeo Body Control Unit screen on the nanocom if that's any help.

regular thrumming noise barely audible, coming from transmission and or running gear.

JGS4x4 heavy duty front prop. I certainly wouldn't try drilling and tapping one, I know my limits!
  16. Feathers McGraw

regular thrumming noise barely audible, coming from transmission and or running gear.

Nothing made any difference until one week I put a new prop on with the extra grease points on the front joint (you can get the bits to do it yourself but at that time I didn't want the risk of a job taking longer than expected) and I changed the rear diff seal and realised the doughnut was...

regular thrumming noise barely audible, coming from transmission and or running gear.

Good luck and keep listening for it. I was cleaning brakes and wiggling wheels and joints for a while until I did the rear diff oil seal.

regular thrumming noise barely audible, coming from transmission and or running gear.

I had something like that on mine, happened around 40-50ish mph. I'd already decided to put a new front prop on with proper grease points and put a new rubber ring on the rear prop whilst changing a slightly weepy diff seal. The noise never appeared again. Front prop was OK, I just wasn't happy...
