I have a disco front axle I fitted to my 90, and I was wondering if I was to fit a steering damper in the usual defender way using a conversion clamp (pic attached) and still keep the damper behind the axle that the disco axle has would that be a bad idea? Any advice appreciated

Cheers for that I did notice a few red crimps in the supply cable so it’s clearly been buggered about with. I think I might just run new cables to it

The stalk doesn’t seem to be the issue as I used a bit of cable to mimick the stalk by connecting the live and the cable to wiper motor and the voltage went down to 0
