2.5 DSE Not starting Possible FIP Fault

Ok. I put 12v feed to Elab. You can hear it click on and also hear a relay click in ECU. I tried turning over but still no hint of starting. I checked code just & it's says Elab Valve But surely I just caused that by bypasing wiring? My battery flat now - so off for recharging.

P38 Rescues Renault Traffic from Sea at Portmadog

You're correct. I was in low range & all four wheel slipped on quite hard sandy surface. The Van front wheel had sunk with the sea wash upto 18". A sharp tug to free it only removed the front cross member, bumper, power steering pipes etc. The Ford attempted a pull but also could not free it. We...

P38 Rescues Renault Traffic from Sea at Portmadog

Actually, I think we did leave some of it there; the bumper came off, then the front cross-member, power steering pipes & track rod arms. The Rangie destroyed it. The men in wet suits tied ropes to what they could, but it was under water - so they grasped at straws. I said tie it to the alloys -...

    Wayward Steering Sorted

Thats great news when you find & fix a fault. I've just had advisory on mot that my rubber coupling / uj is worn on steering column shaft. Is this part available separately as it looks riveted on in pic, or is it a new shaft?

On holiday & Front prop UJ squeaking like Sh!te

Hi thanks for advice. Got back to West Mids at 11.30 pm after waiting for recovery; but at least home safe. On checking UJ on prop, it's almost destroyed. There's loads of movement in the yolks when twisting. So new part required. The VCU was changed few months ago so may have had a impact...

Have people nothing better to do?

I always reverse my Transit Van on the driveway. My neighbor moans that it blocks their view down the street. I say it's a driveway, surely you can see to pull off. They say "Yes but no, I mean from the lounge window". FFS :mad::rolleyes::jaw: I offered to paint a mural of the street...
