You probably need a new speedo cable, in my experience they usually become very erratic before they finally break. Could also be the actual dial. No need to fit an electronic one.

I saw a freelander making its way round without any difficulty (not red route though), I guess that about sums up the course.

That's kind of what I thought. In green lane use I'd undoubtedly choose the least damaging route, but at an event like this I can afford to get stuck or waste time losing traction.

Did any of you Guys make the trip up the A1 to (Yarwell?) quarry last weekend? I did a couple of circuits with the Wife and Toddler, hence driving more cautiously than I might! but they loved the red route descent where the marshall advised "keep on the brakes" The axle twister sections...
