Do you think.... maybe because it's not the original engine but maybe original temp gauge, that's why it's reading in the red, even when it's just sitting there ticking over?? More help

Evening all! I'm about to buy a 1989 110 3.5 v8 4c sw diesel turbo. All looking good, but whilst using a insurance comparison site the Landry in question comes up as Petrol!! And I can't seem to find any info on this size Diesel engine either. Are they any good to own? And I assume the mpg is...

Thanks. I was more thinking of using in a wood near by, not full on off roading. Thinking my 4 year old son would love sleeping on top of his beloved Landy upon the trees! There's one on eBay now, but a long way from Cornwall & they're mega bucks new
