Don't buy one. Take her on a date, buy flowers etc. much cheaper to rent.

Like a lot of people have said your needs define your vehicle. If you need the off road capabilities a Defender would be the way to go. But the other qualities of other vehicles should tip the scales, ie. comfort. warmth, safety etc. But good luck with whatever your choice.

I used an ebay china special... 6 months all good so far.

It seems it would easy to set up a sting by police. Are they reluctant to do this or what? Once they show up with the truck to pick up a "vehicle" they could nab the fuc..ers.

If you have to replace it replace throw-out bearing and the heavy duty arm while its opened up.

As mentioned in another thread I attached a clear plastic tube to end for bleeding clutch. Works great and allows one person to do it.

Old fashioned pump oiler can. That's what I used to Top mine up. Lot of pumping but works well.

Infared temp guns can easily check temperature.

As mentioned clutch as well. I'd also do throw-out bearing and upgrade or weld original lever. Check surface of flywheel.

As well, give serious consideration to replacing clutch, throw-out bearing and upgrade or weld the lever that actuates the throw-out bearing. It is easy and cheap to do at this point in your rebuild. Check flywheel surface as well.

Just remember, owning a Land Rover, makes it true even more, its about the journey not the destination. Only been stranded a few times.

Was going to order some little electronic pieces of Amazon Prime, for my boiler relay at about $9 bucks each...went to check out and they wanted $70.00 for postage. Told then to get stuffed. Cant believe the rip off. I've learned to check carefully before I click Buy.
