    Discovery TD5 in a Defender

That's good changing the gear lever shouldn't be a problem, I take it the engine itself fits then, if I remember correctly you used to have to change something like the water pump or manifold or something on a TDi.

    Discovery TD5 in a Defender

I'm toying with ideas for a new project, and I'm wondering if it is possible to fit a TD5 from a discovery into a Defender, the project will probably have a new\reworked chassis so engine mounts etc. won't be a problem, but can anybody confirm that the gearbox and engine will fit, and not need...

    3.9 V8 Classic Coil Wiring

Can anybody help with the wiring on my V8. I've stripped the LPG system off it today, and now it won't start. No spark, but smells like fuel at the exhaust, so I think the injection is working. The coil has 3 connector HT - Fairly obvious what connectors are on there. Positive - White lead...

    What do you call them??

I'm having abit of a clear out and I'm about to Ebay some bits, but I can't decide what to call them. On the back of the Range Rover Vogue Seats, there is a rather posh looking wood fold out shelf\table. Does anybody know if it has a proper name.

Selecting Drive without a Transfer Lever.

Sorted it came in for a cup of tea, then when I'd finished, went out gave the lever, a light knock with a lump hammer, and it's obviously knocked it into drive. Thanks for the pointer.

Selecting Drive without a Transfer Lever.

Still no luck with this, when looking through the hole in the floor, there is the rod, that looks like it rotates a shaft mounted ontop of the transfer case. The little lever on the end of the shaft (attached to the rod) is currently near enough vertical, however with the autobox in drive, I can...

Selecting Drive without a Transfer Lever.

Vehicle is an L Plate Range Rover Classic with a 3.9 V8 mated to an Auto Box. The transfer level sort of came off in my hand :-) However I can see through the floor to where the transfer box is, and the lever used to connect, but I can't seem to wiggle the selector on the transfer box into any...
