    P38 = 3x4?

    Should have updated my sig. The rangie I have now is a MY97. The 2000 model was my second P38 that sadly died due to a slipped liner and was never really taken off road much but when it did it was excellent. My first P38 that was also a 97, did have TC on the back and from my current...

    P38 = 3x4?

    Thanks for the reply. But I am still none the wiser, I just cant get my head round what you have written. Sorry but I am a complete dunce when it comes to this type of thing! So are saying that there is nothing wrong with my car? Maybe the other 4x4's that got through could lock their...

    P38 = 3x4?

    No, sadly I do not know how open diffs work. Thats why I have asked for help. I dont mind making an idiot of myself as long as I end up understanding how this car is supposed to work.

    P38 = 3x4?

    Well, again, I think that my P38 is not working like it should do. I have a previous post on here where I first thought something was not right. Here it is for reference http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/off-road-capabilities-207668.html Over the last few days I have been out in the...

    Off Road Capabilities?

    Thats good news! Just wanted to add that I went to examine the terrain that I initially described in my first post of this thread and basically it is like the slipperiest wet mud I have ever come across!! Deep and mixed with wet grass. So I think it safe to say that all is OK with the car...

    Off Road Capabilities?

    Well I have just been out this morning and tried the car on some different terrain and it seemed to handle it all quite well. I tried a muddy field, which was wet and quite muddy, but not too deep, and there was no real issues in maneuvering on that terrain. Traction Control did kick in a...

    Off Road Capabilities?

    Just another thought and apologies again for the dim question, I know nothing about off road tyres! But are the General Grabber AT2's a directional tyre?

    Off Road Capabilities?

    That would explain it then. Do you happen to know if the AT2's are any good in the snow and ice?

    Off Road Capabilities?

    Looks ideal, hopefully there is something nearer to where I live in North Devon.

    Off Road Capabilities?

    I am hoping that the AT2's will be good in the snow and ice as they are reported to be so. Yes, I have thought frequently about doing an experience day as I realise that my off road driving skills are basically non existent. Are you basically saying that the tyres I have on the car are...

    Off Road Capabilities?

    As far as I can tell, all of the wheels are being driven, I opened the door to look at the wheels while accelerating and both front and rear wheels on the drivers side were turning. Prop and diff are in place and look fine externally to me.

    Off Road Capabilities?

    Hello, This may come across as a fairly stupid question. But I am wondering what the real capabilities of the P38 are off road? Reason I ask is because I have a 1997 4.6 with an auto box. I must make it clear that I have next to no off road driving experience so please bare with me. The...

    Retrofit Heated Seats?

    Oddly my 4.6 V8 does not have heated front seats, or at least the switches are not there. Is it possible to retrofit heated seats? My existing seats are electric memory seats. Would anyone know if the wiring is already in place and its just a matter of adding switches? I am not sure...

    Thats it, it's fcuked!

    It is a shame, but to be honest I never really used it that much, if it was my daily driver I would have had it repaired. Just aint got the time or energy to put into to it now. Plus its now taking up one of my parking spaces!
