I have a 1972 Series 3 2.25 petrol. All has beem ok for the couple of months I've owned it but last week I got the dreaded click sound on turning the key. I've cleaned up the earth connections etc to rule out a bad connection. I did manage to get it going but it has reverted to the click sound...
