Here's an update: The issue was was resolved by using Sync Mate. I ended up buying one from Andy of p38spares . com. Thank you everyone for walking me thru and narrowing down the issue. You guys rock!!

Apologies maybe my explanation wasn't clear, I did charge it too 100% then connected it to the car(almost immediately) then attempted to start it. Same issue.

The LED doesnt flash after i press the unlock on the fob. Yeah fuses looks good. I should also mention, the car would crank but not fire. I got the battery tested and it was nearly dead, I believe due to the RF receiver issue(I still have the blue dot). I took the battery out and got it...

Yes the doors unlock and lock with he fob. Yes I am getting a spark

Yes. all seems fine. only message on dash is my LH rear window is not set but that was a known issue before.

Does anyone near west London have a Syncemate? My '97 4.6 won't start. It cranks but doesn't fire up. No engine check light.
