Does anyone near west London have a Syncemate? My '97 4.6 won't start. It cranks but doesn't fire up. No engine check light.

Have you done the basic checks? Battery, fuel, spark? Any message on the dash?

Yes. all seems fine. only message on dash is my LH rear window is not set but that was a known issue before.

Does it unlock with the fob or do you use the key?
By 'all seems fine' do you mean you're getting a spark and the plugs are wet?

Yes the doors unlock and lock with he fob.

Is the red LED in the middle of the front window flashing? Sounds like a sync issue if it's not getting fuel.
Have you checked the fuses and relays? No harm in swapping the engine relays in case one is sticking
If you're getting a spark then other things like the CPS are ok
Not sure what else to suggest

The LED doesnt flash after i press the unlock on the fob.
Yeah fuses looks good.
I should also mention, the car would crank but not fire. I got the battery tested and it was nearly dead, I believe due to the RF receiver issue(I still have the blue dot). I took the battery out and got it charged. It still doesnt want to fire u.

You need to check the voltage while the engine is cranking, it could be dropping too low

Charge the battery again, if it's not holding a good charge them you'll need a new one. You shouldn't see much less than 11v during cranking with a decent battery. Maybe 10.8v as a real minimum

Apologies maybe my explanation wasn't clear, I did charge it too 100% then connected it to the car(almost immediately) then attempted to start it. Same issue.

You still need to check the cranking voltage 
if it's too low it can crack but not start.
A battery can die internally so the surface voltage looks good but as soon as you apply a load it wets itself.
Not saying it's the issue but needs to be checked

Are the sparks on all eight good & strong ? Is there fuel pressure in the injector rail ? (check by depressing the schrader valve briefly)
Also "West London" is a bit vague & quite a large area. Where ? Might be one of us near with Nanocom

The issue was was resolved by using Sync Mate. I ended up buying one from Andy of p38spares . com. Thank you everyone for walking me thru and narrowing down the issue. You guys rock!!
