Thank you Sierra ferry. Now have a synced working fob that if I hold very close around the rear window will lock and unlock the vehicle. Obviously a range issue now. But at least I can get in the car and start it.

Well as an update. I've been keeping a close eye on the oil situation. Problem seems to be resolved after replacing both the cam seal cover and the rocker gasket. Thanks for all your help.

Yes definitely oil.

Right. Checked everything again. Changed cam seal cover and rocker gasket. Cleaned engine the best i could. Now sit back and monitor. Thanks for all your help and advice peeps
