Thats certainly a possibilty not sure why you would take that out and replace it with a not so great bottom range Pioneer unit... still each to their own!
Ive replaced it now with an Alpine (not OEM) unit and a welcome return to my steering wheel controls.

When I bought my current Discovery 2 Td5 it already had a after market cd player in it which works well. I want the steering wheel controls to work which werent compatible with the one I had, so I have bought a new compatible one to fit in it with all the relevant leads. Took the existing one...

Hi, first post and after a little bit of advice. Ive got a 2000 Td5, after a tyre change at a garage I nearly lost a wheel due to untightened wheel bolts apart from one. This caused the rear passanger wheel to shake like mad and thus broke a wheel stud.
I know that the hubs are an all in one...
