Yes, i have also a dixon plate fitted. I am referring to where the dixon plates securing angle iron bolts to the chassis, there is a bracket welded to this area of the chassis rails. But i may have worked out the solution, extreme 4x4 sell the bracket which looks like it does the job.

Hi, I was thinking of upgrading my Ht 1990, 90 to ARB. The bracket ray is neither there at present (axle or chassis) but I have looked at extreme 4x4 website and they supply full kits inc brackets. Had a look at the rear of my land rover this morning and I have worries about where the location...

Yes have done something similar to mine aft the front but with old flexible plastic display boards, but seeing this has motivated me to do the rear.

I done it and motorway travelling a lot more enjoyable, not much difference driving on a and b roads except i do not use fifth as much. But i do not tow , i am very happy with the mod.hope this helps, btw 90 with 265/75 on.

Got a quote for 100, will look around for a decent box and I think I will be good to go, to summarise what I have learnt so far that the conversion offers smoother motorway driving with less noise offset against reduction in towing prowess and unfamiliar characteristic defender gear changes?
