Hahaha let's hope not. Just went to try check main earth strap and really didn't fancy crawling through a puddle to poke my head under. Why doesn't this **** ever happen in summer?!

Thanks mate. Having had them be
Cheers mate. Have had earth issues before, and would tend to agree with you, there's just the timing of the other stuff. They were all sorted out (I know they can go bad again this time of year) about a year ago, and it was serviced and MOT'd in Jan with a really...

Hi all,
Post from a couple of days ago: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/advice-on-decent-flasher-relay-replacements-1996-defender-90.397272/
Might likely have some relevance. 1996 300tdi
Flasher relay does work most of the time on start up, sometimes needs a blip of the throttle. Went...

Hi all,
TL,DR; I believe I need a new flasher relay - can anyone recommend a decent replacement brand? I've previously had issues with multiple hazard light switch replacements before I found a decent one. I don't have the towing electrics point connected anymore as it was causing huge...

Cheers! Everyday's a school day! Will have a go if it stop raining for more than 5 seconds today.

Aha sorry mate I'm replying to all these separately and they keep rolling in! Cheers for the replies!
Aye, always been told opening a turbo is nearly last resort. Bushes defo could do with being replaced soon but was curious if that's what might cause the squeaking noise, or if I've got...

Ah Delphi actually rings a bell now you've said it. Think that's what I've got in.
Makes sense RE the tank wash. Will have a think about that one.

Cheers Dag. Yes it's plastic so the worn lines are just an absence of crud than actual wear 😂 Not the easiest to do stuff like take my hubs to bits with my set up / toolset so will leave. Good to know the pads are decent quality then!

Thanks Lynall. As they're both doing the same thing, safe to assume its just how they were installed and it's not a cause for concern? Or should they be sitting squarer within the system and not rubbing like they are?
Aye, she's been sat in the absolute ****ing rain for a couple of days and...

Related point - anyone know why the same PN is sometimes suffixed but a D, and sometimes a G? Sounds really daft but 2 identical looking delphi pumps, one £20, one £34, both from known LR parts distributors, only difference is cost and D or G at the end of the PN. Don't want to buy the cheaper...

As the title says - looking for some recommendations please and thank you!
Had a trying few weeks with break downs etc and fault finding, made a few threads about it. Long story short, fuelling issue due to lift pump was the culprit. It's royally fumbucked.
Don't want to buy a cheap and nasty...

Just had a play around - parked out the wind and managed to start and get round to sniff the smoke before it went. Definitely a diesel-y smell to it.
Have checked the oil filler cap, no mayo on there so thinking not an oil / coolant gasket leak.
Timing-wise engine seems to be running...

Cheers for the reply tottot, I got to admit I hadn't thought insurance route as it might be difficult to prove. My mechanic said he'd had a jag in with the same issue who he thinks filled up at the same place as me.
Engine & tank drained (I got it back will a gallon, just enough to shimmy down...
