Factory fitted original. Came from my 2004 TD5 Defender. Comes with fixing bolts. I've removed one really small section of the guard (very top of passenger side) to allow longer lengths of pipe/wood to pass through it. See pic. Pick up only in Glasgow area. £40.

Landy has had pump and fuel lines pressure tested - 4 bar, so no leaks and pump working ok.
It's the view of tester that the problem lies under the rocker cover - injector seals/ 'o' rings. They were done just over 3 years ago and it's had light mileage since then - so it's booked back into...

It's certainly a possibility. I read before of people using a section of clear pipe but wasn't sure exactly what valve to connect it to on the filter housing and pump.

Cheers.
Garage never gave it back to me leaking fuel, sorry if I gave that impression.
It needed to get fuel filter housing replaced as it WAS leaking and I gave them the one that I had as it was in for MOT that day anyways (failed on fuel leak, passed later after housing swapped plus some new...

no worries.
Hence the reason I took it to diagnostic centre with a LR mechanic for a bit more in depth look at.
The reason I got the FPR changed was it was making a lot of noise and I've very possibly got air in the system. After researching on here it seems the FPR can leak, causing the...

Thanks very much again!
Should the 4 brass barbs all look the same, except for the one that requires the valve in it? I'm positive that all 4 of them were just 'straight through', but can't remember for sure.
It's possible that it has been fitted (i'd have attempted it myself but stumps of the...

I bought a new filter head about 2 years ago when i first noticed the housing decaying a bit. Never got round to fitting it. It came with 4 new brass unions. That is how I presented it to the garage who are happy for me to supply parts. I get what you are saying - there is a part on one of...

Todays update.
Had to purge it last night to start engine.
Left it overnight and it started first time.
Drove it down the road and extremely flat/lagging at 1500-1800 RPM - exact same symptoms I had when last pump blew.
Took it to diagnostics and it's been plugged in but no codes relevant to my...

The fuel pressure regulator IS the problem?
Or replacing it IS the problem?
Ta.

any test I get done I will keep you informed

I've thrown out the old filter, but I'm going to try another new filter in any case and check the seal.
Not to my knowledge, but it was awfully dirty round that area, so I suppose it is possible. Would you recommend flushing the whole system?
-
thanks. yeah, i'm hoping it will shed some light on it.

okay, update time.
I got my mechanic to fit a new fuel pressure regulator. The old one was hissing like I've never heard before.
All was going fine until today when it started and conked out - got it started again after purging process and cranking it for 30 secs.
I'll detail below the...
