I know this may be a realy stupid question , but I have just fitted a snorkel to my 300tdi, Wll I get a build up of water in the air box due to driving in the rain , snow etc. :doh:

Hi, my Freelander has started to make a knocking sound whe i go round a roundabout, it dosnt happen all the time, My first thought was CV joint , but which 1 ?. as I said it only now and again, any Ideas ??? Thanks :confused:

I think it depends on how good the mot tester looks, i was a tester about 10 years ago if i thought it was not fit for the job then i would fail it . its stops the tank bumping about off road too. have a go at makeing one, mine is on a 94 300tdi disco.

When I removed the old strap I tidyed some thin rope on one side to help me rethread the new strap, I fitted steel reinforceing on each end by heating up a bolt the same size as the new bolts , then burnt two holes on each side of the strap, i sandwiched the strap between steel plates on each...

I used some webbing from a lorry ratchit strap reinforced with steel on both ends, looks good, will not rot, cost very little and been mot twice since.
