Hi Dippypud Had a break in the rain and found the nut then it started to chuck it down again along with heavy thunder. When I undo the nut will that remove the sedimentor completely? I guessing you mean the nut at the top on the side, am I right?

Hi Brian, no I do not touch the throttle when starting up.

Its just started to chuck down with rain here in Jamaica so will try it when the sun comes back. Ur right about that plastic thing on the sedimentor, what a waste of time!!

Thanks Carrington, yep its a TDI, will check pwr to glo plugs. I found the fuel filter under the back right wheel arch so might try to drain that as well.
