My 2.5na has a rough idle when it's shaking there's smoke from exhaust then suddenly it's smooth with no smoke back and fourth

Finally got it running and starting turned out there was no feed to fuel solenoid whilst cranking

Does anyone know if the engine mounts would be same on defender 2,5na as sherpa 2.5 j15

Pump checks out fine must be engine valves lack of compression?

Yeah unfortunately I have a reconditioned injection pump so it should be ok

Now won't restart reconditioned injectors and pump new lift pump glow plugs starter motor I'm considering buying a running n/a defender engine as straight swap for my sherpa j15 piece of junk any thoughts Will only jump start by towing
