Mine was well rotted. visibly nothing wrong, the thick paint was intact on the sills but the metal underneath was just mush.
Rear door handle wasnt great either.
-
Also, check a rear wheel cylinder hasnt failed - failed seals....shoes come adrift and piston popped out etc. There will be fluid down the rear of the backplate and dripping onto the wheel and tyre if so.

It was 2.2mm i think, which was a bit too thick in hindsight, but I had it in the garage so used it rather than buy any more. 1.8 or so would be fine.

Its a fair chunk more than 10kgs. I would guess more like 20 - 25.
I used to have just a single pulleywheel hanging from a bit of old seatbelt tied to a roof beam in the garage and a bit of rope over the pulleywheel. I made a sort of web with 4 old straps with hooks on the ends all tied together...

Well maybe you should have said the tensioner had failed in your initial post. This has nothing to do with you changing the clutch.
If you want help from a forum you need to give the facts. All of them.

Turning the crankshaft with the gearbox off wont have done anything unless you were spinning the engine backwards. Just turning it a bit wont have done...

Edit - it will take a little thought....you will need to account for the quantity of fluid that will stay in the grease gun mechanism and nozzle - shouldnt be too hard to work out though and add that to the quantity you need to inject.
-
Nicely.
If you use grease nipples as plugs, then why not use them to fill it too?
You can buy a brand new grease gun on ebay for a few quid. (or clean your old one if you can be assed) Hold it pointing downwards and pour the silicon fluid into its open end. You will then be able to pump the...

Im not really sure what they are worth second hand, so make me an offer.
Remember that they are around £250 new including the MAF. This is a few years old and while my car ran faultlessly I cant guarantee the condition of a used MAF.
-
I honestly dont know. I have lost all enthusiasm for cars generally these days. Six needy older cars is taking its toll on my finances and time, and the Mazda pickup does everything I currently need from a 4x4....tows well, carrys stuff for work etc etc.
I genuinely like the Freelander and have...

The Freelander has been at the bottom of the garden for the last few months due to a noisy gearbox.
I have realised that I am unlikely to be bothered finding and fitting a replacement so have put it up for sale locally.
I have put the synergy 2a and Special Vehicle badges up in the for sale...

For sale. Synergy 2a tuning box by Rover Ron for TD4 engines. Should also fit other cars like Rover 75.
