Hi, can anyone help, series 1 Disco auto. I have no low or neutral in the transfer box. I'v pulled the console out to see the linkages and they are moving ok and don't look broken. It seems to be stuck in high and diff lock works but only in high. Can someone tell me what to look for next...

TEZ, i'm in Forster NSW Mid North coast. RPM at 100KM is just under 3000 Whats the best way to access the top of the transfer case and the linkages, looks tight from under the car should i take the console out and access through there ? Cheers

Have tried it all, there is no change what so ever.

No matter where the lever is high/low/neutral I can do speeds of over 100km/h, So does this mean it may be stuck in high? When I move the high/low lever there is no pressure at all, just slack? Transmission is auto if this makes any difference. Is there any test to see if high/low is working...

Thanks for everyones input, i have had a look and it seems all linkages are moving as they should. There doesn't seem to be any hi lo or Neutral. The only time it seems to do anything is if i move it over to diff lock, the light comes on and i can hear the change to lock but still no hi lo or...

thanks Wah, Ok, there doesn't seem to be any changes when i move it into hi low or neutral, so is it broken ? the light on the dash comes on if i move it across to diff lock but it doesn't seem to do anything, what should i look for ?

:confused: Hi, I'v recently purchase a 93 Disco and trying to work out how hi low and diff lock work. Is it a H pattern and the right side are hi and low then the left side is diff lock hi low, when i change the lever it doesn't seem to make any changes except diff lock. Can some please explain...
