    Found a complete prop with vcu and a rear diff just incase for £85 good price I belive. Now just to send it off to bell and get my new tyres and hope the IRD is okay

    Yes mate it will be our family car. I want to be able to go out in snow green lanes maybe a little light mudding be safe on wet road. My wife will be using it dayly on roads.

    I think it still has the rear pinion I will have a look today at the condition of it and the rear diff. I will also get 4 new tyres at some point next week. Then I will track down a shaft and vcu. Send the vcu to bell and hope for the best

    Need new tyres for my freelander1 I have found some Insta turbo 215 65 r16 x4 £260 not inc fitting. Are these good? Does anyone have ant site or recommendations please?

    It's done about 170k just watched a video from Google seems easy enough to do the oil for the transmission. Do you have a link if possible on how to do it correctly. Thank you for all your help you have no idea how much I appreciate it

    No It was on gumtree quite local to me. I have thought about taking it to the mot station it was passed at and see what they have to say
