The stutter could be many things. It's probably not related to the low temperature reading tho. This is normally down to a knackered thermostat. Long job to replace it I'm afraid. See my thread for details of its replacement...

Could also be your LP pump starting to fail. If it does it again give it a thump and see if that gets it turning. Could be time for a new pump. Don't bother with a cheap one - get a decent one or genuine.

Thinking about it, mine was a bit more rattly to begin with. It did quiten down tho. Or I got used to it... Mine's got 140K on the clock so yours is a young'un. I think the key to longevity is frequent oil changes.
