The slam panel is very hot after a normal run, not taking it over 4000 rpm. Is that 'normal'?

Thanks I'll try the fans and the fibreglass tray, thaty sounds good as I never saw or heard them come on yet despite the frying pan syndrome ---- however, can you tell me what the LRD hoses are and what the dis/advantages of disconnecting them are? Thanks again.

Hi, the top is hot and the bottom cooler. I had heard about the V6 being hot but my 1.8 is and so far I have not seen similar stories...maybe I just did not search enough. For me though it does not feel right, I have owned some high performance motors in the past and flogged them and never seen...

One last question - what about the fan? In other cars I had if the motor was hot the fan stays on after switch off. Now OK, that's not the same as the EWP, but surely the EWP would be more efficient if the fan stayed on too, as at least the cicrulated water gets cooled? I'm thinking there must...

Interesting and thanks! I won't be driving it the 150 miles tomorrow I was going to then.... Any ideas on how long to fit and any preferred stockists? Is there a belt change if I do not use the OEM mechanical pump? Sorry for the dumb questions....

No - that was much older and in tatty condition. Then again clearly looks aren't everything....

The remote stat is fitted - this is an 05 plate and as far as I can tell was done as standard. Any advice on how / what / where to fit an EWP would be appreciated. I can do electrics and basic stuff no problem, but any pointers would be much appreciated, as I'm unsure what to do there.
