Drove to bromsgrove to pick up a tractor engine repair kit 135mile round trip
went well 70 + didnt even break [ down ] just got to rebuild a major engine now :rolleyes:

Took it to a landrover hospital for a new clutch and cam belt
was going to do myself but not up to it [ disability ] :(

Lent mine to a mate who brought his volvo up for a waterpump [found other problems ]
so he went home in the disco .
hope he brings it back ;)

Reversed into it with a telehandler :mad: broke headlamp dented bonnet .
50/50 mine & wifes fault [ one of us didnt listen ]

He said they shouldnt be on windscreen for test put them back on after is
ok . just suprised me they where in the centre low not in the way :confused:

put the disco in for MOT it passed with advisery for sat nav & phone holder [ whats all that about ] one headlight played hard to get lord lucas strikes again .
all set for welland rally tommorow :D

Aah right looks like i will put the original gearbox & torque converter back in a known good unit
should be fun :(

engine &gearbox swaped possible gearbox fault to correct . welded the chassis 2.5 years ago thats sound .lpg tanks still 1/2 full fine tuning and fettling before mot i hope .
knowing my luck something else will get in the way :rolleyes:

plus the engine does not boil/overheat .

Hi started my classic up when cold all quiete but as it warms up a tinkling sound starts to get louder as it gets warmer could it be the torque converter
breaking up/down . I have not used this engine /box as it is a replacement
for the 4.2 [ LSE ] did not have a test drive before removal .

Hi i have been resurecting my lse changed engine 2+ years ago
now the brake accumalator is not pumping up . I have voltage to it
can i dismantle and try to repaire it myself . not sure what any problems
may be just stuck maybe .anywon else tried to repaire !!
or am i wasting my time :rolleyes:

WOHOOO it lives i finaly got the engine started bit lumpy at first .
blow me down the LPG is working as well .considering its been stood 2-3 years not bad
the 3.9 sounds a bit diffrent a bit roarty if ya know what i mean .
oil and filter change next & fit the rear propshaft :D
