Going for a big trip from Perth to Ayers Rock in the new year and want to fit a second battery to my TD5. I would prefer to mount it under the bonnet but it looks very tight for a 100Ah battery. Has anyone out there fiitted one and what components if any have to be moved?

cheers guys the freelander is now back on the road. It cost me about $120 all in with oils and sealant, the hardest part of the whole job was getting the oil heater/cooler out of the box in one piece and then re-sealing it again.:cool:

cheers guys it looks like both the IRD & VCU. Went to the main dealers and they are asking A$2100 for the IRD and A$3700 for the VCU. I don't know why the VCU is so exy unless it comes complete with the drive shafts? anyway I have removed them both and found the problem with the IRD. The two...

Hi all can somone shed some light on this one! I've got a 2000 1.8 five door and just this week noticed it's devloped a loud knock when reversing on full lock. I thought it could be a front CV joint but it happends both left and right hand lock and not when going forward?
