    Yet Another Ebay Scammer

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222312769753 £5000 for a very smart 90, bit cheap but also has another one 30 miles away and a number of other underpriced campervans all over the country - if it looks too good to be true then it probably is. No doubt the person will hold it for you for a deposit....

Series 3 Bought an old chassis and now got a letter from DVLA

The Chassis on my series 3 isnt that great and I bought another chassis with V5 etc. The chassis itself is OK and has got the ID plate etc (not an ID plate and bag of rust) , Now hers the thing - I wouldnt buy a chassis without an ID as there is a risk of it being stolen. But after sending off...

No V5 MOT required to get it?

I bought a series last year from a guy who only had an old V5 in the previous keepers name - I did check the chassis and engine numbers matched the old V5 and (whilst I arranged for a friend with a flat bed to collect it) got a cheap HPI check. The DVLA write to the previous owner to give them a...

Fitting a Spiralox washer onto the hub.

Sorted, Less violence - more thought.. it kind of screws in with a pair of tiny pliers:)

Fitting a Spiralox washer onto the hub.

I have had to replace a drive flange with a new one, I can see a slight shoulder on the splines that the spiralok washer needs to position on - but I am struggling to get the dam thing in - any suggestions ? Not sure if its because there both Britpart or I just need a spot of the old...

    Series 2 rear light mystery

If you remove the bulb from reverse for instance and put in reverse and recheck: fault on tail, still there its probably a short on the feed no fault, probably bad earth. If the brake lights dont make the reverse light come on then I would have though it more likely a feed short somewhere.

    SCAMMED

OK, you have a fair point. Maybe it would be better to identify the things to look out for as a potential useful sticky thread. Avoid Breaking a car that looks too good to break (although half the series 3 breaking look better than mine!) Photos showing complete car mobile number only delivery...

    SCAMMED

So I see a seller with 100% positive feedback score over 1400, my first reaction is that its probably a safe seller. Guess I am just another easy mark then - as there are plenty of adverts breaking whatever "if you bid on this you get a wheel nut, contact me for other bits...." If someone sets...

    SCAMMED

Could be the original ebay ID has been hijacked by someone else - recently (logon stolen from an old laptop\mobile etc) The history shows the ebay ID was changed in October, and no other buys or sells in feedback in a year

    A bit over the top.

My son saw this the other week and absolutely loved it - but the he is 14 and into the zombie apocalypse genre. I was thinking how the **** would I get to half the bolts it it needed the wing off etc.

Front axle swap - 11 inch brake upgrade

Due to being a tight arse, I have got hold of a complete front axle for my 88 as the old swivels were both corroded and shot and an axle was less than than a single swivel would have cost. The new axle has got 11 inch brakes, my 88 only has a single output master cylinder non servo. Does that...

Other 2.25 petrol (5MB) Engine runs rough when warm

Coils can get warm if they start to break down inside - or if oil cooled and have a small crack in them. Thus if they get too hot then they dont generate a good spark. So a bad coil can be ok for 5 or 10 mins then need a 5 - 10 min rest to cool down. Might not be that - but is is possible...
