Ideally I'd prefer if someone could collect from Sheffield (S11) as some of the items are a little too big and awkward to ship. If someone wishes to take all the items then I'm sure a deal can be done as it will help clear some space. I'll look to add photos shortly.
SOLD - LAND ROVER...

Message sent.
Everything is still available - I will be checking in over the weekend as I'm finally back home and able to get these moved on. I'll be putting on Gumtree first as some items are a little awkward and expensive to post.

Listed are all parts salvaged from my Freelander 1 TD4, most have been with the car about 2 to 3 years.
I've yet to put a price on things and include pictures for everything, I will over the next few days. I'm open to realistic offers and would welcome collection, I'm based in Sheffield at...

Interesting and worrying read, it certainly did fry a piston, no.4 I believe. To note as well I dispensed with the EGR and went for the blanking mod at the same time I fitted the Synergy.
I'm sure when I flicked the MAF setting it prompted an engine warning light once, hence I checked it was set...

I thought I'd post here as this relates to the Synergy and Pierburg MAF that was in my FL1 TD4.
I bought the ron box and pierburg MAF some while back. They've been running for some time with the box switch set for the pierburg MAF, it's been running well and never a warning light. Anyway with...

The injectors had been checked prior to this and one was replaced for new, although that was through a garage I wouldn't revisit if it was the only one in a 100 mile radius. This was possibly a long term overheating problem but the garage I trust's view was that given this was cylinder close to...

If you saw my other post about recommendations for selling a non-runner then this will make more sense.
I went through a series of what started as starting problems linked to fueling, went through an inline pump, high pressure pump and new injector before it seemed to be sorted. Then on the way...

I had the same issue, replacement pump and it would after a short while into a journey start whining. The pump itself lasted just over a year, just outside the warranty so the next pump fitted was a Bosch unit and only in February this year. My car is off to the breakers today in Sheffield :( so...

I'd left my phone in my car (the missus' one that works). It's off to the breakers tomorrow so I'm not sure if I'll get to have a look before it goes. I've a spare key which I might drop in over the weekend with note asking for the melted cylinder as a fond souvenir

Ha thanks. Well the breaker was expecting all the bits even though a non-runner. I salvaged my personal stuff, the Synergy and the Pierburg MAF from an engine bay full of engine parts.
Had a look at the cylinder which had the top half melted :(

Thanks had a look at what "spares or repairs" TD4's have sold for on eBay - up to about £300/£400 but that's for a runner with clutch or other less costly issues to resolve.
Mine effectively doesn't have a working engine so only vaguely similar non-runner finished around £120 so I guess £150 now...

Cheers, the garage did suggest that as an option - auction with reserve or buy it now with what sort of price. Want it to be a quick sale but don't want to end up worse off than the £150 once final price and fees are factored.

I'm open to offers - the car is at a garage in Sheffield (S7) and would need collection.
The car felt like it was running on 3 cylinders, misfiring/vibrating and just about running. The garage checked injectors etc and found (this is where my lack of knowledge doesn't help) that the cylinder...

Any recommendations on places that may be interested in my 2003 non-running Freelander TD4?
I had posted before and upon a recommendation have tried Bradgate Motors and Motorohog. Best offer was for £125 - the garage the car is sat at have someone who'll take it for £150.
Is that the best I...

The RAC have been really good every time I've called on them. When the leak off pipe split they brought some along and got me going. At the supermarket the guy tried just about everything to get it going and in the end had to tow me to a local garage, Smiths in Little London Road (Sheffield) who...
