Ha thanks. Well the breaker was expecting all the bits even though a non-runner. I salvaged my personal stuff, the Synergy and the Pierburg MAF from an engine bay full of engine parts. Had a look at the cylinder which had the top half melted :(

Thanks had a look at what "spares or repairs" TD4's have sold for on eBay - up to about £300/£400 but that's for a runner with clutch or other less costly issues to resolve. Mine effectively doesn't have a working engine so only vaguely similar non-runner finished around £120 so I guess £150 now...

Cheers, the garage did suggest that as an option - auction with reserve or buy it now with what sort of price. Want it to be a quick sale but don't want to end up worse off than the £150 once final price and fees are factored.
