Thanks so much for kind advice. Going to clean the egr and map sensor this weekend....Iv also emailed ron at rover ron (diesel-tuning web site) re the maf I put in.....got an immediate reply and says it will def not work without the mafam/synergyll so I have purchased this today (£185 OOOUCH!!)...

So you mean just remove the valve...and dont replace with a new one?? is it difficult to get to with awkward nuts and bolts to have to remove?? Why is it in there if not required and then can cause problems???? Bit like the appendix.....!!!!! (in humans that is)!!!
