thanks for all your help managed to free the kiddie lock and then got the door open and with the help of a picture from ebay managed to rebuild the lock so all perfect now thanks again for your help guys andy

i think its the lock needs replacing in the door unless you mean the boot door then its very often the levers under the land rover badge (just spraying wd40 solves it) you can open the door from the inside though even if the kids locks are on the button still pops up good luck andy

have removed the fan belts today to make sure they were not binding but all running smooth so not them is it possible to put a live feed on the solenoid connector on starter to see if it spins?
