    Defender Door Hinges

Those look like the style of the ones that I got that didn't fit. They are the later type and the top hinge is too large and interferes with the capping on the two piece military door tops...see attached pic. The hinges I need are narrower and not as thick.

    Defender Door Hinges

Hi All, Hoping you can help clarify the confusion in parts for me. I need a new RH lower Door Hinge (1991 x-mod 1/2 doors) #347362 - Superseeded by MXC8282 Now the question is...I see a bunch on Ebay for 5-16 quid...then I go to LRSeries and see the "genuine" part for 32 quid. Now my...

loud knock when shifting defender 300 tdi

First thing I would do is check the U-joints. Anytime you add height you add stress on the ujoints...chances are that's where you problem is. Find a "flat" spot...put the truck in neutral, crawl underneath and see if you have any play in the ujoint. Let us know what you come up with.

    x-mod 3 door...hot in summer

All good suggestions... I have insulated the top and sides, as well as the tranny tunnel as well. I have also considered a "spinny vent" however I have a full rack that I occasionally use, and I don't think these would last long in the bush...I suspect that I would end up ripping it off on a...

    x-mod 3 door...hot in summer

Just curious how do you...or what do you do to remove the hot air inside a 3 door 110 during the summer. I have a 125lb Bernese Mountain dog that travels with me, but last year I had to cut a trip short because it just got too hot inside.:flame2: I have electric fans blowing into the back, but...

Best off road, Defender or Series?

Disagree...the Series have that "classic" front end, that is quite unique and at least in my eyes gives a distinctly different look. Mechanically similar but with the obvious differences in suspension. Had both and really...both have their strengths...my vote would have to go to the defenders...

Best off road, Defender or Series?

IMO they both have their own pro and cons. I did a 6500 mile trip in 2009 with 14 days of that, completely off road (Canol Expedition Yukon-NWT) in a bone stock Series 3 109. Comparing it to a Defender the obvious stands out...leafs vs. coils so more comfortable in the Defender, however all the...

    Bonnet Spare wheel mount 265/75s

I had mine there, same size...it's fine...you'll get used to it. Only problem with a tire on the hood is when you crest hills.

    Engine year manufacture

Found the cast mark on my old head 47/97....so i'm thinking that it was built in november 1997.

    Engine year manufacture

Hmmm...I'll have to pull out the old head from my workshop and have a peak. I replaced the whole top end the last time I blew the head gasket due to small cracks around the glow plug holes...but I kept it anyway because you never know....

    Engine year manufacture

I have a 300Tdi engine with the 23L prefix. Does anyone know how to date 300Tdi engines? I understand that the 23L was a late model of this engine type. Cheers
