    Series land rover transmission lock

Yes I have been reading up on spinneys rat trap product.. achieves the same result on a defender model but done a completely different way. I am currently testing the prototype and the results show that if you try and drive the vehicle away with the device locked it simply stalls the engine so...

    Series land rover transmission lock

Thanks for that... Understand that removing the props means you can move the vehicle. But in reality how many thieves set out to remove props from cars there trying to steel? Never mind coming armed with the tools to do such a job. Also experience says you can't actually get to all the prop...

Hi all, Just looking at doing a bit of market research with fellow series Land Rover owners. I am in the middle of developing a brand new security device which with a turn of a key locks the transmission solid on a series land rover, preventing the vehicle from being driven, towed or dragged...

    TD5 disco starting

Okay thanks,. I used genuine seals both time and it was a genuine pump. One thing that worries me is that the Copper seals are extremely tight on the injectors. Like could not get the old ones off and the new ones had to be pressed on with some force. Is this normal?

    TD5 disco starting

No it is a real pain to bump start... took me 7 miles on a rope to get it to cough after I did the fuel pressure reg change. The old CPS looked like the tip had been damaged when removed and was shorter in length when compared to the new one. I did not have a shim installed originally but...

    TD5 disco starting

Thanks. I have checked the fuel temp sensor and it is reporting out okay... i did think I was eater temp failure as the ECU would use the fuel temp to calculate fueling in the event of water temp sensor failure. The other ones I have checked are ambient air and inlet manifold temp sensor. Both...

    TD5 disco starting

Thanks.... I am starting to think this may be the case.... Just one question... why would it not have any problems when the ambient temperature is above 10deg? I would have thought that if it was a cracked head it would not be temp dependant and I would also expect to have. Oil, water...

    TD5 disco starting

Checked there was a 12v output through the linked fuse. Checked for 12v at the input and output side of the relay. Bridged the relay and checked voltage at the end of all the glowplug connectors. Then used a inline 21w bulb on all glow plugs and when the ignition was on the bulb was...
