    Advice required

The VCU and bearing change is quite a simple task even for a novice (must be if I can do it), there's detailed info on here and even video tutorials on YouTube to assist you, given the relatively low cost of a recon unit and new bearings I'd do the job on any Freelander1 I wasn't sure of the...

Goodbye and thanks for all the fish..

Don't know why after buying an X5 you'd be worrying about fuel economy, big BMW so why buy in first place if you spend your time watching the fuel gauge-bit like buying a RR v8

    i need some advise

Were none of these faults present when you test drove the car? Did the dealer give you any kind of warranty with it? If it was sold 'as seen' then I don't see that you've got much room for manoeuvre, however if you're still keen on having a Freelander then I'd imagine it's not too drastic to...

    Replacing Drivers Window Regulator

Great idea, could a 'how to' section be made on here and these sort of threads be moved to make finding them easier? Obviously the search facility can be used but would make it so much easier.

    Bike Carrier

out of interest how does your carrier fit to the wheel? And how do the bikes secure to the carrier?, I'm in the market for one as the one I got on eBay doesn't fit due to the brake light arm behind. What sort of price are you looking for?

    Wheel spacer needed.

Hi guys, I'm after a single wheel spacer to move the spare wheel out a bit from the carrier, reason being so I can fit a rear wheel mounted bike rack which currently won't go on because it snags on the high level brake light arm thing, probably need 15-20mm ish for clearance if anyone has one...

    Bike Carrier

Thule do a decent bike carrier which fits on the tow ball but you'll need an adaptor to keep it clear of the spare wheel-the whole thing is uber expensive though, I'd expect it to cost around the £500 mark :-(

    Freelander HELP PLEASE!

To be honest I get flashed quite a lot when my lights are set on the highest level on the adjuster (dipped beam), I got my mechanic to check this when he took it for its mot and it passed the test fine but when driving they do seem high-yet ok at mot :-/ , I've put it down one level to save any...

Freelander 1 LRO Freelander 1 buying guide

Just waiting to get my account activated there then I'll post my thoughts, of course we will be biased but even the neutral must agree that as with any car if the Freelander is cared for then it's a great vehicle and if used realistically it's a competent off roader, my off road excursions are...

    freelander lost key

I got a new key with a transponder from Land Rover for about 90 quid plus they wanted an extra 60 odd quid to programme it to the car, will depend on the model year whether the key will come already to use or whether they will need to do the extra programming, my advice is to contact a Land...
