I believe this might be to do with the balancing of the fluid flow between the back and the front brakes. Its most likely your track rod ends are past there sell by date, to check them you'll best have a trained mechanic look at them as the front wheels should be jacked off the gound and a large prybar used to check for play.

O.K this was caused by two problems, the first and main cause was a duff thermostat and the second by a failed heater hose which I hadn't replace earlier. Now the motor runs without overheating, thanks for all the help. Regards.
