Which two - unlock and the tailgate or unlock and lock?

With the engine running partner in crime held down the dash unlock button and I tried the tailgate.....no luck, still wouldnt open. any other suggestions or was I doing this wrong?

Hi The tailgate on my 2007 Freelander wont open. The car will lock using remote central locking, including the fuel flap. I've checked the fuse and its good. I'm assuming the microswitch has died.....question is does anyone know a clean way of opening the tailgate when its closed and the...

Hi I have a 2002 TD4 which has covered 235000 miles. Its dispalying the same fault as the original one on this thread, when using the stalk for wash/wipe the wipers come to rest somewhere randomly in the middle of the screen. Did changing the wiper relay fix the problem for you? Thanks Dan

Thanks for all your input. I jacked each rear corner up, popped off each wheel and gave each drum 5 or 6 sound thumps with a rubber headed mallet. Wheels back on and hey presto....theyre not locked anymaore....the old girl is running like a steamtrain again : )

Thanks guys, I'll try unhitching the prop first (fingers crossed that doesnt sort it)...Its now on its 3rd VCU as changed initially at 120k Then if that doesnt make a difference I'll batter the brakes into submission and rebuild!!!

Hi Just bought a slight bent 2003, 3 door TD4 Freelander. My eldest says its gangsta?!? as all the lights, indicators are smoked....just cost more to replace when bust I'm guessing. 97k, sweet running block, only issue besides a few dents is a grinding noise from the rear....I've dropped off...

The relay is dead, off to Mr Ebay for a replacement...thanks for your help guys
