I was just watching this one... 2001 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 TD5 GREEN on eBay (end time 19-Jan-11 12:28:11 GMT)
Shocked at its finish price.

Landrover Defender 110 side steps on eBay (end time 20-Jan-11 18:50:01 GMT)
£132 for some secondhand side steps. Is that normal?

Is there a template anywhere for the wing tops? So I can have my local fabricator cut some?
-
I think you can read a certain amount into the surroundings in the pictures ... Big house and All mercedes and speedboats. Definitely worth a look on the assumption that it probably hasn't been abused and has possibly been well looked after

If you've still got the A bar when you come over next I'll have it! :p

Alright so might be asking the obvious... but I need a new hub bearing. Genuine is £33 Britpart is £8. Is it worth the risk?

Yep, all locknuts and spacers off. Bearing is shagged which is why I'm switching - have a feeling it got warm and welded itself on. Tried heating it up and beating it... may have been a bit pansy about it because even with a piece of wood on the disc I was a bit scared of mullering it.

Caliper is already off... ;)
Have tried persuading it, but no joy. Have lubed it up right nice and will try again tomorrow...

Ok got the locknuts off but the hub itself won't budge. Haynes book says it should slide off... No. Any ideas?
-
Was it a straight swap in? Need to do something similar
-
Likewise... I did my bumper recently. Took it back to bare metal with sanding plate on angle grinder, then spray on primer and spray on hammerite. Good finish and looks great :clap2:
-
Thanks, I'll give that a go. Tried with a big wrench but no joy otherwise new spanner set !
-
Hi
Trying to get at the hub assembly to replace broken wheel bearing but stopped by the hub locknut. What size is it and is there a spanner for it?
-
Hi all.. need some roof bars for my 110... been looking at the Thule ones but not too sure exactly which size I need.
Any recommendations?
