:) Hi Steve-O, I have a High lift jack for my 90 with the adaptor for Landrovers I have found it to be ideal for the job in hand, I have also found that some makes are better than others mainly High lift or Jackel being the best. I have mine in a special plastic cover called a jack guard...

:) Smoothrite is okay it is made by Hammerite so it is an enamel and sticks like smelly stuff to a blanket and gives a good finnish and a can goes a long way, use a good brush mind you do not want to keed lifting off old bristles. BIG D

On my old 90 I took two wheels off at a time [placed on stands] cleaned the wheels off any loose debris and repainted with smoothrite, looks the doggys bits it does alright for a old landy. BIG D.

Hi, Just changed the water pump on my 90 200TDI and I managed to replace it in a morning just make sure you have everything to hand and start early also allow time to run and bleed the system up to temp, the right tools at hand is also a great help fan spanner ect and using your mates garage...
