Hi I don’t know if this is the right place to post but here goes. Changed my defenders rear half shafts because of a clunk. Clunk still there so replaces rear diff with NEW diff. Now when I decelerate “off the gas” there is a noise akin to geared braking and a slight constant whine at 50-70 mph...

I’ve got a 90 Defender 2008 2.4 puma. Trying to sort new rear half shafts, drive members , circlips and seals. All other defenders seem to have cheap half shafts available. Why is it my half shafts are £350 each with integrated drive members? Can I just put ones in that were made before this...
