I'm referring to the MF31 (larger capacity) not necessarily physically larger though I've not checked the dimensions.

What did the other forums say about fitting it? Did they mention steering angle sensor

I had a 900a and while it was fine when driven daily it struggled when not used for a week or so. It's now in the boot as a secondary battery.

It was my mistake, I left it in the boot and disconnected the battery then couldnt get it out :p, hence I had 2 cups of tea:). J

Presumably it's difficult to open the boot with the battery disconnected :)

As above, no battery management but I see you ignored the advice and went for the smaller battery. If you have a Vogue or one with lot's of extra's fitted the 920a may struggle a little if it's not your daily driver and/or used for short trips.

Make sure the car shuts down properly before disconnecting, have a cuppa. Make sure you know how to put the bonnet in service mode. Oh and dont leave the battery in the boot when you disconnect the battery 🤔. Its not a problem it just means you...

I had My missus with her foot on the brake, me with my foot pushing the socket on the hub nut, and my 16 stone son on the end of the torque wrench.

If I remember correctly I was just doing the CV boot but the joint has to come off anyway.

Dead easy just need a couple of tools :) Got some more pics when I can find them.

Based on my experience with them, I would avoid Varta. Yuasa or Hankook are better. I believe that he HANKOOK MF31-1000 fits just about.

Twinwoods 4x4 advertise the MF31 to fit the 300tdi and TD5 plus other Land Rovers

MF31-1000 fit's my TD6 but some have had issues with the battery disconnect module, I believe there are 2 types.

Low battery voltage can still turn the engine over but not be high enough to power the ECU's. What voltage is on the battery in the morning without the smart charger?

Dosent sound like battery drain to me, so as above ^^^ This may sound silly but is it cos you are in a hurry and take you foot of the break to soon. I have done it a couple of times, where the engine seems to start and I release the break and it...
