Hadn't thought about centreing the drum. And yes it could make all the difference between having good or poor breaks. I'm now considering having the new drums machined for 3 securing holes. Cheers, that's good advice thank you.

After purchasing 4 new drums I realised that they come with only one countersunk fixing hole.
Where as the old one had three.
Is this the normal now only one fixing point.
Yes the wheel will hold everything together once assembled.
Do I get drilled out or not.

Hi thanks for your help. No I don't have a manual and the diff is off a 2A rover axle. I have used the original shimes under the main pinion bearing. If there is no acceptable tolerance to the pinion height . Then the bearing will have to come out and 0.41mm reduced by adding more shimes...

Just wondering if anyone knows the pinion height tolerance on a 2a diff. I have pinion height of 38.42mm . Should be 38.01.
I'm to high by o.41mm.
This is after replacing all the bearing.

Hi guys I'm now putting the diff back together after changing all the bearings. The pinion height should be 38.01mm.
I have a reading of 38.42mm
That's 0.41mm to high.
Is this within tolerance. Anyone dealt with a diff before.

Hi thanks again for the advice on tyer size. If 265 are to big what size should I be looking for?
As you've gathered I know very little about this subject. Any help would be appreciated. Just want a tyer that won't break the bank.. Don't particularly want a mud tyer.
Cheers

That's for the advice it was a worry that I may end up with tyers that won't fit. And as regard the Axel probably end up getting another.
But thanks again for the advice.
