No the lights dont work, i have tried jump starting it and still nothing. So im thinking its either bad earth to the chassis or theres a bad positive to the ignition switch. I checked the wires on the back of the switch yesterday and one had a permanent live and today i couldnt get one but when...

I have a friend who has recently bought a 3 series landrover which was running and starting fine for a week or so. It has since sat in a barn, but when we tried to start it, the red ignition light on the dash flicked on and then off and nothing happened. No click from the starter... just sounded...
