all sorted, I changed the waste gate modulator, and I found lots of oil in the ecu plug so changed the injector loom too and been flushing it out every day so far, today there was no oil in it at all but will keep an eye out for it to re-develop. wonder what other problems will come up next...

i must admit just took it out and listened to it again and it dose sound more like a vibration sound more than a air leaking sound so a solenoid playing up could be it. i will order one as they are cheap and see what happens. Im from bedfordshire, ill update my profile.

Ive recently acquired my td5 discovery and its giving me a bit of a pain in the side. I cant get any real power in 3rd at 2.5k rpm, it takes about 2-3 mins to past 50mph to get up to the next gear on level ground then once its back to low rpm it seams to be ok again (not got it past 70 yet). I...

thanks chap, replaced the parking sensors now and they work a treat although i might have to put a switch in for when i fit a trailer, or just pull the plug off the buzzer each time. ordered the towbar should be ready for fitting weekend.

Thanks PaulMc Hmmm i shall look into the mirror side, its not a major problem but if its there i would like to be able to use it, i may take the switch out and give it a clean, it worked twice when i got it then failed to extend one morning. The black wires into a single plug being a ground...

Ive just brought a 51 plate TD5, and worked out that although there are parking sensors fitted they don't work and the plug is just hidden up behind the bumper and not connected (bumper as been changed at a guess. Anyway my question is, what would i need to get it work work as a genuine...
