    Defender wheel positions / alignment

Final update on this one! The wheels now seem to be more aligned after a few months of use, and the ride is so much better with the new suspension and bush set, the clunk has also improved and is hardly heard, unfortunately due to a change in circumstances I now need more seats so the trusty...

Great tip Turboman! Checked out SPX and there's all sorts of goodies on their website, couldn't see an appropriate tool but it's one to remember! Ended up drilling a few holes in the nut then smashing it off, it was fairly quick to be fair! I tried a cut down socket but it wasn't shifting! The...

    Defender wheel positions / alignment

Thanks Turboman Think it's a bit tight on space as gazman says to smash it off but I may end up giving it a go!! Thought landrover would've had a tool to get in there! Cheers Marmaduke, I replaced the rear ujs a few months ago, I did notice what looked like a 'rusty water run' on one of then...

Very true! I Fitted standard shocks and springs as I'm not planning any 'proper' off roading! Just wondered if they last longer etc, time for a search me thinks!

Cheers Boguing all looks standard underneath but I will double check! Are polybushes the best bet I've not got any experience of them do they make much difference? 300bhp/ton the pictures aren't that great it's more noticeable in the cold light of day!!

Thanks for all the suggestions, Neilly I've measured off the chassis to the outside edge of the tyres and There's not much in it. Al203 I did notice play in the bushes when checking the trailing arms as suggested, so went and parked on a slope to send the weight of the truck 'backwards',a...

Hi All Something I've searched but there doesn't appear to be much info about Bought my 51 90 TD5 pick up about 8 months ago, it wasn't sitting 'correctly' it was higher one side (as the previous owner had replaced the shocks and springs one side), and the wheels didn't sit in the 'middle' of...
