Hi, you used to be able to put your chassis no in, on the JLR website & get the build spec for any given vehicle (I used it on my 2001 D2 when I got it in 2020 but not sure if you still can). My D2 is the ES premium & was owned by a mate from...
Hi all, in an attempt to avoid upsetting any regulars - I wanted to post in here to introduce myself. Im the proud new owner of a stunning 2000 Defender 90 TD5 in Alveston Red.
Really looking forward to understanding the mechanics and making...
I got carried away leak tracing and sealing with Captain Tolley and Tiger Seal, decided to rip out the upper windscreen over seal.

Can't even jump start it as it's nose first on the drive.
These things are sent to test us.
Changed the rear diff pinion seal on my son's D2. Everything went just fine, even the centering spigot came out no problem, unbelievable!
Didn't bother to look for any other problems while I was under there.
Don't forget proper cleaning can make all the difference, even when I take the wheels of any of the family's vehicles out comes the wheel cleaner (or wonder wheels depending on how bad they are) to get all the brake dust off ! Like you say...
Oh oh, I decided to reseal the LT230, whipped off the sump to find this:
I guess the bits I found in the R380 are just incidental...
Will need to strip it down to see if any other bits in the box are nadgered...
Mot on Monday so thought I'd best patch the holes in the passenger footwell. My Dads brill at all sorts of fabrication so he welded and answered the million and one questions my 10 year old had, lovely to see!
It's a bit of a bodge but if it...
