Have been given a top of the range nissan pathfinder as a courtesy car. His insurance company hasn't even asked where mine is yet to assess it, so they're not exactly rushing! Never mind its nice getting someone else's car muddy!

It was fitted with chassis mounted side steps! It was 'removed' in the process! Its bent/sheared the mounting points off. Went to collect stuff from it yesterday. No pics of it with the doors open (they do both open) but the door pillar is definitely bent inwards and the floor pan is bent...

I thought that would be the consensus. Shame as its my first Land Rover and I was loving it! It goes off road almost daily and was great. The Kia was definitely much worse off - definitely written off! Everyone ok though! I'll see what his insurers say. They're hopefully setting me...

I don't think it has bent the chassis, and it does still drive, although police insisted it was recovered not driven home. Was exciting - never had it on 2 wheels before!

Got hit side on this afternoon by a Kia Cee'd. What's the likely outcome of this? In everyone's experience will this be written off (V8, LPG, ES, '52 reg) Just wondering so I can see whether I need to start looking for a new car. Andrew

Since I first posted this has happened twice more. I'm only using the key in the lock and it only seems to happen once every 7 days or so. Each time the trip resets, as does the clock and the radio needs its code re-entering. Any ideas how to stop this happening? Thanks - Andrew
