The one I got looked pretty good quality, thankfully not britpart or the like. If it started leaking from the old one and now this new one then I'm inclined to believe there's something else going on but I'll double check the banjo bolt. I use a...

Funny how "I might as well do this at the same time" leads to multi-day work projects. After finishing the installation of the Roamer OD, I thought I'd add some heat/sound insulation to the bottom of the centre seat panel, which lead to doing the...

Maybe bad luck with regards to the seal. I fitted a Genuine flange and seal a couple of years ago, leaking again. Also had a seal fail in no time and others just fine. Good job the seals are cheap enough, try another one. What do you use to knock...

Sounds like a right drama driving over there, not really something we have to consider here. Do you also need fuel additives during the cold weather?

Knackered flange, damaged the new seal?

Sure thing, here a few from his social media, im pretty sure he will do whatever spec you like, high end like these, or a simple chassis swap replacing just the parts that need doing.

Thanks, will give that a try when I get a chance.

Thanks, some photos would be nice if you don't mind. I should mention I am in the preliminary planing stages at the moment. With prices of vehicles going down it might never be worth doing.

Thanks but a little bit to further than what I might consider to be 'within reason'.

I’m with Admiral too. They were the best price around, didn’t mind the minor modifications either.

The heater motor seems to be giving up, seizing up, bearing running dry, rust or whatever. Are they serviceable in some way? 1989 Ninety if it makes much difference.

Can't remember, any large bolt on the battery side of the engine, engine mount maybe?

We had the main earth to the block and the headlamp panel and another from starter to chassis leg, might even had one from the gearbox somewhere.

Cornwall I think. I know it's quite interesting to compare prices but rather pointless at the same time as so many variations between people circumstances. For us Lancaster were also not competitive. Adrian Flux, in the past, we're actually one...

Strange, mine went down last year. Try Admiral as I have a Td5 90, my son has a Ninety (200tdi) and a D2 no problems or restrictions. I found the specialists more expensive or restrictions, in a garage ( yeah right). A-plan said we are in a high...

Crankshaft apparently. Regardless running an engine knowing it has an oil pressure issue is probably not the best look for the recovery guy.

Not sure how the engine fan can come on before the engine starts? Unless I am misreading something?

Just to offer a conclusion.. The backbox including the 1 damaged tail pipe was lowered and cut off. Then, a genuine, used backbox was welded on. This was then correctly installed

Yes, I have read that but haven't tried it. Maybe the new unit is working as it should and the old one didn't.

Just read up that they are locked on start up, when cold, then disengage after a minute or so.

Do they not start in the "locked" position then go lose shortly after? I thought in general they usually fail in the lose position. Sorry for the crap technical terms, engine bay looks proper tidy. What brand rad did you buy in the end?
