hi, I have a 01 plate td5 auto with 150000 on the clock. about 4 weeks ago it wastaking a good 10 seconds or so turning the starter to fire it up. this was in the mornings when cold, started up ok when engine was warm.later in the day. or though there were acouple of occasions in the afternoon...

Hi all, going to change my disco from air bags to springs on Saturday, I believe the computer needs reseting after doing this. would it be ok to drive it locally for a couple of days until I can get this done, thanks, alan morgan.

seems ok now I started it up and shut the door and bounced up and down on the rear of the side steps I'm 16 stone and it seems fine

either that or it pumped itselve up as i drove about 30 yards to my drive without me noticing

hi i have a 51 plate td5 with 140000 on the clock. the front prop shaft has 3 universal joints one of the rear 2 was nackered . i contacted my local independent land rover garage and tried to order the part. they said you can only get the front one as it doent show a part number for the rear 2...

hi thanks for that forgot to mention also started at about the same time as the nock when i put it in reverse and when putting it back to drive there is a crunching noise it only makes the crunch when going from reverse to drive no other gear change ie from park to drive. any thanks alan.

hi, i have an 01 td5 auto with 140000 on the clock. noticed today a nocking noise when pulling away from a standstill i think from the rear. seems to be louder the faster you pull away. doesnt seem to do it if you slow down to about 5 mph and then accelerate any ideas. many thanks, alan.

try switching ign on delay turning to starter for about 2 seconds works with mine
